The New York State Unified Court System Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, is currently seeking applicants in the Local Area Network Series. The position will be filled in one of the following and will be dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the applicant selected: Senior LAN Administrator or LAN Administrator. The individual selected will provide desktop and technical support for the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department and its ancillary agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting user issues related to networks, PCs, hardware, and applications.
- Implementing hardware and software inventory controls.
- Performing web publishing tasks.
- Providing backup coverage for technology staff during annual or sick leave.
- Assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Senior LAN Administrator: Certification in Network Administration within eighteen (18) months of appointment; and One year of service in the Local Area Network Administrator title, or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related information technology field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of local area network operations experience, or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Base Salary: $84,659 + $4,920 Location Pay
LAN Administrator: Certification in Network Administration within eighteen (18) months of appointment, and One year of service in the Assistant Local Area Network Administrator title; or bachelor’s degree in computer science or related information technology field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of local area network operations experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Base Salary: $76,112 + $4,920 Location Pay
