Strategy & Analytics Consultant

Introduction

As a Strategy & Analytics Consultant in IBM’s Infrastructure business unit, you will develop and implement strategic recommendations that will drive change in a digitally-enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented IBMers. You will develop insights, work with cross-functional teams and create Proof-of-Concept solutions leveraging modern techniques for Data Analytics and AI.

You will develop solutions for complex business issues facing the IBM Infrastructure Business Unit. This business comprises of leading-edge offerings such as Cloud, Z (Mainframe), Power, Storage and Technical support services. This business is the foundation for IBM’s push to be a leader in AI and Hybrid Cloud. You will need to apply appropriate methodologies to develop strategies and analytics to enhance the performance of IBM Infrastructure business.

You will expose insights to business leaders in innovative new ways that leverage Agentic AI and Data Science.

• Support IBM Infrastructure leaders in leveraging strategic insights
• Conduct analyses with IBM strategy team stakeholders to identify root causes, test hypotheses, and define targeted business outcomes
• Collect and synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights through research, interviews, analyst reports, and internal databases
• Prepare clear, compelling client presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic options effectively with supporting data and analyses
• Create Data Science and Agentic AI based tools and proof-of-concept solutions that expose insights in new ways to business leaders
• Query, transform, and manage datasets using SQL or similar querying tools
• Design & develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Cognos Analytics
• Partner with product, IT, finance, and strategy teams to align analytics solutions with organizational goals

• Interest in infrastructure technology including servers, storage and cloud

• Experience extracting large data sets, applying data science tools and using AI to create new insights that are displayed in interactive dashboards
• Experience with data modeling, ETL concepts, and cloud data platforms
• Able to travel approximately 10% annually
• Fluent in English

• Master's degree in STEM or Business (MBA)
• Experience in the technology or strategy consulting industry, digital transformation
• Fluency in creating quantitative models in Excel and presentations in Power Point
• Experience in developing data based demos/pilots/proof-of-concept solutions
• Experience with AI/ML model deployment, MLOps, or cloud-based ML services
• Experience with SQL and relational database querying and dashboarding tools
