As we scale, we’re looking for a visionary Head of Information and Technology to lead our tech strategy, infraestructure, and innovation.
Role Overview:The Head of Information and Technology will oversee all technology operations, infrastructure, and security at Urus Funding. You’ll lead a growing team of developers, engineers, and IT specialists while working closely with leadership to align technology with business goals. This role is both strategic and hands‑on—perfect for a leader who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and wants to shape the future of fintech for underserved businesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and execute the overall technology vision and roadmap
- Oversee product architecture, infrastructure, and cloud systems (e.g. AWS, GCP)
- Ensure platform security, scalability, and performance across all services
- Lead development and deployment of internal and customer-facing systems
- Manage integrations with banks, credit bureaus, and third‑party APIs (e.g. Plaid, Equifax)
- Implement best practices in Dev Ops, cybersecurity, and data compliance
- Build and mentor a high-performing tech team
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations to support business growth
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- 7+ years of experience in IT leadership or CTO-level roles, ideally in fintech or financial services
- Deep knowledge of web application architecture, databases, and cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of API integrations and third-party data providers
- Experience with cybersecurity, data privacy (e.g. SOC 2, GDPR), and risk management
- Ability to balance technical strategy with day-to-day operational execution
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Startup or growth‑stage experience preferred
