Overview
Transcriptionist role. Starting as a contract that goes through 12/31/26. Onsite Monday-Friday in New Providence, NJ (must go in office every day). You don't need to have previous experience as a transcriptionist! Looking at any background that has excellent attention to detail and someone that is meticulous with accuracy!
As a member of one of our Technology teams, you will contribute to building solutions that use natural language processing, cognitive computing, and artificial intelligence applications and the frameworks and infrastructure that support them. We are seeking a detailed-oriented, trustworthy transcriptionist to help us expand our new Spoken Conversation Understanding Platform - an advanced AI system that listens to live, human-to-human customer care conversations and reacts to them in real time, at a scale of thousands of concurrent conversations.
RoleYou will play a key role in improving and bringing the platform to new use cases and new customers by listening to, transcribing, and annotating the complex and high-dimensional audio and text data that drives the intelligence behind this product. You will join a small, highly collaborative team in analyzing and annotating spoken and written multi-speaker dialogues.
Responsibilities- Transcribe speech into text, identifying and correcting automatic speech recognition errors, identifying and annotating important entities for named entity recognition, classifying speaker intents, and quality checking the data, etc.
- Listen to, transcribe, and annotate complex and high-dimensional audio and text data to drive the intelligence behind this product.
- Join a small, highly collaborative team in analyzing and annotating spoken and written multi-speaker dialogues.
- Accurately transcribe conversational audio recordings containing multiple speakers of varying dialects, accents, etc., verbatim while adhering to transcription and annotation rules.
- Identify and capture colloquial and cultural nuances in recordings.
- Identify, analyze and annotate speaker intents, keywords and phrases within recordings and/or text.
- Proofread and correct your own and others’ transcriptions and/or annotations for accuracy and consistency.
- Communicate with supervisors when there are issues with the data.
- Adapt to changes in transcription and annotation rules, priorities and environments.
- Abide by security protocols to protect the sensitive nature of our data.
- Native proficiency in English.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of grammar and spelling.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to focus for long periods of time.
- Some familiarity with computers and Internet research.
- 40 hours per week (with some flexibility).
- On-site work in our facility.
- Preferred:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress). - Plus:
Strong conversational Spanish with the ability to read and understand written Spanish (preferably Latin American). - Fast typing speed with high accuracy.
