We are looking for a Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) to join our Services team.

The Services department is responsible for providing web accessibility expert services to ensure website accessibility to people with disabilities in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and company standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has a deep understanding of accessi

Be’s products and their regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of websites and web applications to ensure compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant standards.
  • Identify and document accessibility issues, providing clear and actionable recommendations for remediation.
  • Develop and maintain Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs) for clients to document their product's compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on integrating accessibility into the clients' digital strategy.
Requirements
  • IAAP CPACC, WAS or CPWA certification (Preferred).
  • Section 508 Trusted Tester certification.
  • Software development background in JavaScript (ES6)/ HTML /CSS.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing for iOS and Android platforms (Preferred).
  • Understanding of the latest accessibility standards and the end-user impacts of web accessibility.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
