An alternative asset management firm is needing a hands-on Azure SME consultant to lead a migration project. The current environment is a traditional Windows file server that’s grown to several terabytes and is consuming space in an MSP data center. The goal for this role is to ultimately migrate everything to Azure.
The work is to lead discovery and design, map and migrate the file environment into Azure, run cost analysis, and address data residency considerations across the UK and US, with a strong focus on Azure-native security and protections.
They’re looking for someone who’s done this a few times and knows how to avoid the common pitfalls in large file server migrations within Azure.
This is a hybrid 3x/week in office contract for 3 months initially (FTE or long term extension likely). Hybrid will be more flexible once mapping is complete.
They'll need someone who's fully authorized to work in the US without any sponsorship / visa (cannot support H1B).
