Post-Sales Automation Engineer | Onboarding (B2B SaaS)
NYC (hybrid) | Full-time | High-growth startup
We’re a fast-scaling B2B SaaS business with strong traction. Our biggest constraint is simple:
high-touch onboarding doesn’t scale
.
We’re hiring a founding operator with real engineering/building ability to turn post-sales into a self-serve onboarding engine — aiming for 10x–100x CS capacity without hiring a huge team.
This is not a relationship-first CSM role. It’s not customer support.
It’s for someone who wants to ship tooling, automation, and productised onboarding
.
- A self-serve onboarding journey (templates, guided setup, automation, in-app education)
- Activation metrics + instrumentation (define “value achieved”, measure drop-offs, trigger interventions)
- Internal tools/workflows that replace manual CS work (triage, follow-ups, checklists, reporting)
- AI-powered systems to reduce repetitive effort (knowledge base, responses, routing, workflows, content)
- Tight feedback loops with Product/Engineering to turn friction into product improvements
You don’t need to be a full-time SWE, but you must be able to build. Examples:
- Light coding / scripting, API integrations, basic data work (SQL a plus)
- Comfort shipping with AI dev tools (e.g.
Cursor
, Devin
, Copilot/ChatGPT, etc.) - Using automation platforms where it makes sense (Zapier/Make, webhooks, internal dashboards)
- Have post-sales context (Implementation / Solutions / CSM / CS Ops / Rev Ops)
and you’re a builder - Naturally think: “how do we remove humans from this step?”
- Have a track record of shipping systems that made a team faster
- Bonus: CS/engineering background, or you’ve built a product/startup before
