Summary of Business Unit/Function:
One Policy Engine (OPE) aims to provide standardized, valuable services to enhance developer experience and cloud enablement solutions. It offers end-to-end digital policy lifecycle management across clouds, supporting RBAC, Custom Control Frameworks, and policy enforcement directly within developer environments and pipelines.
Role Summary:
Position: Platform Principal Engineer
Specialization: Building enterprise solutions with hosted and SaaS cloud services.
You will lead the development and optimization of a unified policy engine platform, focusing on secure, scalable enterprise cloud compliance solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, embrace Dev Sec Ops , utilize IaC tools like Terraform, and develop developer resources from requirements to deployment, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and security practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop enterprise policy operating models, including SSO, RBAC, and workflows.
- Design control workflows, security frameworks, and policies for Azure, AWS, GCP using rego.
- Integrate SDLC processes into CI/CD pipelines, provide automation expertise.
- Architect and deploy cloud solutions, select appropriate providers, and manage infrastructure with IaC tools.
- Implement Dev Sec Ops practices, automate security checks, and ensure secure dependencies.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and related tools.
- Follow best practices in Terraform and implement policies with OPA.
- Oversee cloud deployment, monitoring, and log management.
- Define automation architecture principles and develop solutions for Cloud, CI/CD, and QE processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in declarative policy languages, Azure policies, security guardrails.
- Knowledge of IaC across CSPs, Dev Ops, CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops .
- Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, code scanning, Docker, programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C#, Python).
Experience:
- 4+ years leading enterprise/platform engineering teams.
- 3+ years with Open Policy Agent.
- 6+ years in programming and Dev Ops automation.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise solutions and shift-left practices.
This role requires technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration skills to drive the One Policy Engine initiative.
Compensation/Benefits:
The base salary ranges from $95,100 to $158,700, with eligibility for annual incentives. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, wellness allowances, and more.
