Position Summary
The System Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all servers, storage and infrastructure systems that are located on premises and in the cloud. The Systems Engineer carries out responsibilities in some or all the following technical areas: MS Azure, Storage Area Network support, VMware support, Server maintenance, System upgrades and procurement, Infrastructure design and layout, Disaster Recovery design and implementation, OS installation, maintenance and patching, management of system tools and applications, Active Directory services.
Responsibilities- MS Azure Architecture, Conditional Access, Identify protection, Entra , MS Intune, Azure AD, Cloud, VNets, Power Shell/Azure CLI
- Strong knowledge of sizing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Storage Area Network devices (HPE Alletra, Nimble or similar storage system). SAN - NAS connectivity, SMB3, iSCSI, multipath I/O
- Strong knowledge of Cisco UCS (unified Computing System) or any other computing system.
- Strong knowledge of building, administering, and troubleshooting VMware environments from scratch. VMware vSphere/vCenter, VM templates, storage policies
- Windows Administration Active Directory domain/forest design, sites and services, trusts, Power Shell Scripting, DNS, Group Policy’s, Auditing
- Strong knowledge of SFTP Globalscape Enhanced File Transfer (EFT)
- File Services – DFS, FSRM, SMB tuning
- Backups Appliance and Cloud Storage
- O365 – MS Exchange Server
- High availability, failover clustering, Hyper-V clusters
- HITRUST / HIPAA
- Working knowledge of Mimecast, Crowd Strike, Zscaler or similar experience using email and web proxies, anti-virus, encryption, DLP, etc.
- Systems / Application monitoring (Solar Winds, WSUS, Netwrix or equivalent systems)
- VOIP
- Certification is a plus
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

This is an On-site position. We work in office Monday - Thursday (9am-5pm) and remote on Fridays.
