Position: VP Quant Strat - Capital Markets/ IBD
Location: New York

A Vice President–level opportunity to join a growing quantitative strategy team embedded within Investment Banking and Capital Markets, delivering data-driven insights, analytics and tooling that directly support client engagement, transaction execution and strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior quantitative partner to Investment Banking and Capital Markets teams, supporting client dialogue, live transactions and strategic initiatives
  • Lead the design and delivery of analytical tools, models and data-driven insights across a broad range of advisory and capital markets activities
  • Translate complex quantitative analysis into clear, actionable outputs for senior bankers and clients
  • Drive improvements in bankers’ workflows through automation, analytics and modern technologies, including Generative AI where appropriate
  • Manage multiple work streams in parallel, responding pragmatically to evolving business priorities and time-sensitive requests
  • Contribute to the development of team standards, tooling and best practices within a rapidly expanding platform
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical and commercial guidance as required
  • Represent the team credibly with senior stakeholders, demonstrating a polished, client-facing presence
Skills & Experience Required
  • PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, computer science or similar)
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Python and C++
  • Proven experience applying quantitative techniques to real-world business or financial problems
  • Broad understanding of Investment Banking and Capital Markets products and processes; no narrow product specialism required
  • Strong commercial judgement and client-centric mindset, with experience working closely with front-office professionals
  • Ability to prioritise effectively, react quickly and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas in a concise, intuitive and polished manner
