Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Analyst (Manual and Automation) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in manual testing and automation, and deep expertise in testing applications, including knowledge of NYC Department of Education systems such as the Accessible Tool for Learning About Students (ATLAS) application or SESIS (Special Education Student Information System, CAP Legacy system).
Key Responsibilities- Manual Testing:
Create detailed test cases, run functional and regression tests, document results, and log defects. - Automation Testing:
Create and maintain automation scripts, run regression suites, and design effective automation strategies across environments. - Application-Specific Testing:
Ensure ATLAS meets accessibility and functionality requirements. - Test Planning and Reporting:
Implement comprehensive test plans and communicate results to stakeholders. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to achieve defect-free releases.
- 8+ years of experience as a QA Analyst focusing on both manual and automation testing.
- Knowledge of NYC Department of Education systems such as ATLAS or SESIS.
- Expertise in creating detailed test cases from product requirements.
- Proficiency in executing test cases and scripts, and developing automation scripts using tools such as Selenium or JUnit.
- Strong error handling and test reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience in creating and maintaining regression test suites.
- Knowledge of performance testing and tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Understanding of agile development processes and experience working in agile teams.
