Settlement Technology Integration Specialist Summary We  are seeking a senior settlement system support specialist to serve as the technical bridge between operations and the technology that powers our broker-dealer settlement engine. This role requires deep expertise in trade flows, securities processing, cash management, and settlement across platforms such as Broadridge BPS, ICI, COGNOS, DTCC MUSA, Postedge, IHS Markit WSO, GLOSS, Loanet, and Equi Lend.

The ideal candidate will lead technical issue resolution, support vendor upgrades and disaster recovery testing, and drive automation and integration initiatives. You will collaborate with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to optimize workflows, maintain data integrity, and ensure regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for operations staff.

This specialist will ensure settlement processes run efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with evolving industry standards.

Responsibilities
• Bridge Technology and Operations
• Serve as the primary interface between settlement operations and technology teams, translating operational requirements into technical solutions and ensuring seamless communication.
• Analyze, document, and optimize end-to-end trade and settlement workflows, identifying opportunities for automation and system enhancements.
• Technical Issue Resolution
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical and data quality issues across settlement platforms (Broadridge BPS, ICI, COGNOS, DTCC MUSA, Postedge, IHS Markit WSO, GLOSS, Loanet, Equi Lend), collaborating with IT and vendors as needed.
• Lead root cause analysis for system outages, data discrepancies, and integration failures, driving permanent remediation.
• Vendor Management & Upgrades
• Coordinate and support vendor system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes, including planning, testing, and post-implementation validation.
• Participate in and support vendor-led disaster recovery (DR) testing, including weekend and off-hours activities as required.
• Integration & Data Flow Support
• Oversee technical integration points between internal systems and external vendors, ensuring data consistency, integrity, and timely settlement processing.
• Partner with master data and reference data teams to maintain accurate instrument and counter party information.
• Automation & Process Improvement
• Work with IT to design, test, and implement automation solutions that reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for settlement processes, system interfaces, and troubleshooting guides.
• Compliance & Regulatory Support
• Ensure settlement systems and processes adhere to regulatory requirements by collaborating with compliance and technology teams on system controls and reporting.
