The Rocket Money Data Analytics team is comprised of data analysts who are passionate about using data to drive business decisions and improve user experiences. Analysts work within a semi-embedded organizational structure to independently build data analytics tooling, drive strategy with data, and assess experiments within cross-functional product vertical aligned teams. Analysts also work closely with other members of the analytics engineering and data science teams to further our product delivery, operations, finance, and marketing goals.

This role specifically focuses on supporting our Growth Marketing team and manages a small group of Data Analysts and Data Scientists.

We re growing our team and are looking for a Data Analytics leader who is committed to building an equitable, healthy work environment where team members are supported in refining their crafts, growing both personally and professionally, and driving product delivery. We are looking for someone that can help elevate our Data Analytics team and support data driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-impact team: Manage Data Analysts, Senior Data Analysts, and Data Scientists who inform hundreds of millions of dollars in annual advertising decisions. Build and empower your team through growth plans, mentorship, and processes that enable autonomous, high-quality work.
  • Own critical analytics infrastructure: Help evolve our LTV model that drives marketing investment strategy. Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and mar-tech teams to build scalable data models that synthesize ad platforms, MMP data, offline data, and third-party sources into actionable insights. Build robust self-service systems that are scalable in dbt and Looker.
  • Drive the analytics roadmap: Partner with Growth Marketing leadership to define quarterly priorities that improve marketing efficiency and decision-making clarity. Champion self-service analytics and simplify our data stack to enable the organization to move faster.
  • Shape measurement strategy: Stay ahead of industry changes in marketing analytics and bring new approaches to the team. Lead experimental design for incrementality testing, new marketing signals, and vendor evaluation. Use our current tech stack including Haus and Recast for MMM measurement and partner with marketing and finance to integrate this data into budgeting decisions.
  • Bridge business and data: Translate ambiguous marketing challenges into clear data problems with measurable outcomes. Foster strong cross-functional relationships and ensure your team s involvement at the right moments to maximize impact.
  • Deliver with accountability: Own ambitious yet achievable commitments, measuring progress and pivoting when necessary to keep the team focused on the highest-impact work.
  • You have deep expertise in data analytics and a strong understanding of data systems and processes, especially delivery of scalable, repeatable self service analytics.
  • You have 5+ years of experience managing data analytics professionals in the marketing space. You’ve successfully led a team of marketing focused data professionals and know how to build effective relationships with Marketing stakeholders to thoroughly understand their agenda and build a data roadmap to meet their needs.
  • You have worked marketing data tools like Haus, Singular, Segment, and Amplitude as well as data tools like Big Query, Looker, and Deepnote. You have excellent SQL skills and are proficient in python for statistical analysis and experimentation. You have worked with data scientists before and can do light data science work.
