The HM is looking for someone with experience in developing and/or managing accessibility programs, who is knowledgeable about current global regulations. Since this is a contract-to-hire position, it would also be ideal if the candidate has a history of staying with organizations for more than two years.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Accessibility Resource with strong project management capabilities to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our organization’s accessibility framework for websites and applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working within large organizations, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and driving initiatives that promote inclusive digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive accessibility framework aligned with industry standards (e.g., WCAG, ADA, Section 508).
Lead cross-functional teams to integrate accessibility best practices into website and application development processes.
Manage accessibility projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
Conduct accessibility audits, assessments, and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to ensure accessibility compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide guidance, training, and support to teams on accessibility standards and best practices.
Monitor and report on accessibility compliance metrics and progress.
Stay current with evolving accessibility regulations, standards, and emerging technologies.
Engage with external vendors or consultants as needed to support accessibility initiatives.
