Join Hatch Tech as a Field Service Technician in our growing Hatch Tech USA Inc. team. You’ll build the relationship with the maintenance teams of our customers across North America, travel to our customer facilities, and deliver high-impact onsite and remote technical support, preventive maintenance, start‑up training, and remote helpdesk expertise – backed by Hatch Tech’s innovative hatchery solutions and “a different breed” culture.
We have a strong and growing footprint in the U.S. poultry market and are scaling with a dedicated Hatch Tech USA Team.
As our Field Service Technician, you’re the representative of the Care Technical Department for all North American customers. Expect a mix of onsite technical support, preventive maintenance, and remote diagnostics – plus plenty of travel.
Preventive / Care Services (onsite)- Perform preventive maintenance visits; capture technical findings and improvement opportunities
- Maintain strong relationships during technical visits; communicate insights clearly and proactively.
- Deliver onsite technical training for new projects/start‑ups (post‑commissioning).
- Assess local spare stock levels and advise on optimization.
- Support our customers maintenance team onsite with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues in hatchery equipment.
- Supply remote assistance: diagnose issues, guide on fixes, and communicate follow‑ups to NL.

Reporting StructureYou are part of the global Customer Care team, report to the Manager Care Technical who is based in the Netherlands, and you are employed by Hatch Tech USA Inc. Your focus is on professional visits that build strong relationships and delivering high‑quality technical support within your region. Planning and coordination with customers are managed centrally by the Work Preparation team in the Netherlands.
You will operate within the global professional frameworks and systems we have established.
We’re looking for a hands‑on Service Technician – organized, punctual, and great with people.
- 5+ years’ technical experience (no starters this time), preferably in agri‑tech or the wider agricultural sector.
- Solid technical foundation (mechanical/electrical/control systems); you’re confident with schematics, PLC basics, and instrumentation.
- Technically commercial mindset: not a salesperson, but able to spot upgrade/optimization opportunities and explain the value.
- Excellent communicator: clear, calm, and credible in front of operators, managers, and executives.
- You love travel, working independently, and taking ownership of outcomes across North America.
- You reside in the United States.
