Position: arXiv User Support Assistant, Cornell Tech (NYC) – Temporary, Part-time

What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Maintain and update documentation
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Associate degree or equivalent formal training program of two years
  • One or more years of professional experience in a technical computing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proven ability to work productively in a supportive role within a team environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Degree in physical science, engineering, computer science, mathematics, library science, or information science
  • Experience with publishing, cataloging, or end‑user technical support (such as help desk)
  • Experience writing technical documentation
