Location: New York

Addison Group is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician to join our clients IT support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a Windows-based environment, with strong knowledge of Intune, Active Directory, ticketing systems, and mobile device management. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of end-user systems and providing timely technical support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first- and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, printers, and other desktop applications.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in Active Directory
    .
  • Monitor and respond to service requests using a ticketing system (e.g., Service Now, Jira, Zendesk).
  • Configure, deploy, and support mobile devices (iOS/Android) using MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Air Watch).
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including hardware setup and account provisioning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and procedures.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT teams when necessary.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT helpdesk or technical support role.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11
    , Active Directory
    , and Office 365.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
    .
  • Familiarity with mobile device management platforms
    .
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred

Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or similar MDM platforms.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified:
    Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
