Senior Vice President, Data Governance

Responsibilities
  • Define, maintain, and execute the AI Resiliency & Production Governance roadmap aligned with enterprise AI governance strategy.
  • Provide technical and organizational leadership over deployment and production AI governance processes, ensuring resiliency, promotion‑to‑production rigor, and transparent change/issue management.
  • Raise organizational awareness through stakeholder engagement, reporting, and participation in AI Hub events and cross‑disciplinary forums.
  • Identify and manage inbound/outbound dependencies with adjacent domains (e.g., Product Management) and coordinate with horizontal domains (Strategy, Training, Policy, Communications).
  • Oversee operational AI governance processes and critical promotion‑to‑production pipelines.
  • Lead specialists to design, test and implement automation features, socializing and codifying policy and process changes.
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert for AI production governance, resiliency criteria, control integration, and production readiness, including change‑management procedures.
  • Lead end‑to‑end strategic planning and oversight for AI production controls, exceptions, and continuous improvement across post‑production lifecycle.
  • Consult with business and technology teams to resolve complex governance issues, evaluate adherence to standards, and produce artifacts such as process maps, RACI matrices, and controls documentation.
  • Champion development of AI Governance & Control Specialists through functional management, mentoring, and opportunities to lead complex work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data/AI, risk management, or equivalent experience.
  • 9–11 years of experience in securities or financial services, with familiarity of enterprise governance frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Deep subject‑matter expertise in AI governance within financial services, especially production governance, resiliency, controls, and change/issue management.
  • Functional expertise in Product Management of AI features, Controls, Regulatory Change, risk/compliance alignment, process engineering, and policy codification.>
  • Proven leadership influence over executives and cross‑functional stakeholders, with strong communication skills and vision setting.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, using evidence to make pragmatic, decisive decisions while scaling processes and automation.
  • Experience designing and implementing governance automation and integrating controls into AI platforms and tooling.
  • Strong process‑design, documentation, and measurement skills (e.g., governance KPIs, resilience metrics, compliance adherence).
