Role:Senior Network Engineer
Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities- Design, strategize, implement, and administer mission‑critical multi‑data center premise‑based/cloud‑connected network environments.
- Manage network security appliances and tools for all internal and external connections.
- Support, administer, and maintain Global DNS, DDoS protection, SFTP, proxy web security, and e‑mail security ecosystems.
- Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot premise and cloud network and security infrastructure solutions including firewalls, IPS/IDS, load balancers, routers, switches, IPSEC, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with vendors, security, and infrastructure teams to implement consistent technical solutions and support processes across the institution.
- Prepare documentation in line with IT policies and standards to ensure security compliance.
- Provide continuous analysis and recommendations for improving network and security architectures.
- Detect and respond to network and endpoint detection alerts.
- Process firewall change requests, update URL/IP/DNS block lists, and perform routine maintenance and repairs on network devices.
- Maintain confidentiality and execute tasks with high accuracy and thoroughness.
- Extensive hands‑on experience configuring Cisco firewalls, IPS/IDS, routers, and switches.
- Ability to resolve premise/cloud network issues of varying complexity.
- Experience with load balancers, SFTP, SSL certificates, secure web proxies, and secure e‑mail gateways.
- Knowledge of BCP/Disaster Recovery procedures for firewall, vendor connectivity, and web/DMZ services.
- Strong understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, STP, VxLAN, MPLS, and IP multicast.
- Experience with Fortinet, Barracuda, Palo Alto, and other security appliances.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and documenting change control procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team‑player mindset.
- Capability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑functional environment and prioritize multiple projects.
- Availability for 24/7/365 support coverage, including nights, holidays, weekends, and extended shifts.
- Cloud connectivity and security design and support.
- Cisco Next‑Gen firewalls and security products.
- Advanced routing and switching on Catalyst and ASR platforms.
- Fortinet, Palo Alto, and other security appliances.
- Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and network troubleshooting.
- Documentation tools such as Visio.
