VP of Engineering (English Chinese Speaking)

Compensation: $150K-$250K Equity
Location: New York (preferred). Also open to San Francisco Toronto

Our team includes senior leaders from major tech companies high-growth start-ups and renowned Web3 organizations. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the technical foundation of a next-generation platform serving global builders.

We are seeking a VP of Engineering to lead scale and elevate our engineering organization as we expand globally. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with high-level strategic ownership.

You will oversee:

• A team of software engineers and data engineers
• A senior product lead
• The full technical roadmap for a fast-paced consumer-facing Web3-enabled platform

This role requires strong architectural thinking organizational leadership and the ability to build systems and teams that scale.

• Build scale and mentor a high-performing engineering team
• Develop and coach emerging leaders
• Lead hiring onboarding and performance management
• Establish a culture of ownership humility speed and continuous improvement
• Balance hands-on execution with executive-level decision-making
• Collaborate closely with Product Growth Operations and Partnerships teams

• Own the technical roadmap across backend systems consumer products dashboards smart contracts and internal tools
• Ensure platform reliability scalability security and performance
• Set and communicate major architectural and technical decisions
• Guide token economics and smart contract initiatives (hands-on coding not required initially)

• Drive rapid iteration and delivery of high-quality user-facing products
• Lead development of features across consumer apps market systems incentive mechanisms and integration hubs
• Establish tight feedback loops with users and internal stakeholders
• Implement processes that enable fast thoughtful and data-informed execution

• 5 years of engineering leadership across both large tech environments and start-ups
• Experience scaling consumer or platform products with large user bases
• Strong backend engineering expertise (Go/Golang preferred)
• Demonstrated success building from 0 1 N
• Working knowledge of smart contracts and Web3 security concepts
• Fluency in English and Chinese (due to team and partner structure)

• Experience with marketplaces token economics or incentive systems
• Familiarity with DeFi DEXs and Web3 infrastructure
• Growth engineering experience (onboarding retention funnels)
• Background in Web3 security audits or protocol design
