Position SummaryTrinity Life Sciences is seeking a Lead System Administrator. This is a full‑time position that requires strong troubleshooting skills and a customer service focus. This position will be based out of Trinity’s Waltham, MA and New York, NY offices.
Essential FunctionsThe Lead Systems Administrator reports to the AD based out of the US. He/she is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Trinity’s infrastructure and architecture in line with Trinity’s security policies. He/she is expected to help guide a team of systems administrators and provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
This role involves managing hardware and software installations, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing best practices for system performance and security. The Lead Systems Administrator will collaborate with other IT teams and departmental stakeholders to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives and ensure that the organization’s technology infrastructure meets the needs of the business. Additionally, they are responsible for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the organization’s systems and processes.
Education: Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, not required.
Work Experience:
- 10+ years of advanced systems administrative support.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows / Linux operating systems.
- Significant experience with Azure cloud technologies, including but not limited to Azure Entra , App Service, Databricks, Storage Account, Virtual Machine, Azure Recovery Services, and networking components.
- Experience with AWS technologies (EC2, S3, Route 53, Cloud Formation, EKS).
- In‑depth understanding of enterprise applications and Single Sign‑On (SSO) configurations.
- Familiarity with security tools management such as Zscaler, Sentinel One, or equivalent solutions.
- Substantial experience in backup and storage administration.
- Experience in monitoring tools like Solar Winds, Logic Monitoring, Auvik or equivalent.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and SFTP.
- Thorough experience in patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Competent in automation using Power Shell scripting.
- Adept at maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation.
- Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards; experience in SOC 2, ISO 27001, or ISO 42001 will be good to have.
- Good understanding of Dev Ops principles and IaaC technologies like Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
- Experience in implementing and/or managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the organization’s strategic initiatives and projects.
- Help guide a team of systems administrators in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Mentor team to analyze system logs, identify issues, and provide technical support for cloud applications and services.
- Develop and implement system security protocols and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Participate in on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical system issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate systems and applications and ensure seamless functionality across the organization.
- Plan system upgrades and migrations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems and applications.

- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
