Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program/Portfolio Lead in Pharma Manufacturing to lead and manage a portfolio of initiatives/projects. He/She will lead and coordinate the end‑to‑end technology transfer process for pharmaceutical products, ensuring seamless transition from development to commercial manufacturing or between manufacturing sites. This role demands strong cross‑functional leadership, regulatory awareness, and operational excellence. The selected individual will also create roadmaps, translate strategic goals into actionable plans, and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership, capable of identifying pain points and proposing innovative solutions that align with business objectives.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing
- Facilitate the transfer of technical documentation including process specifications, analytical methods, and validation protocols
- Oversee scale‑up activities and ensure reproducibility at the receiving site
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps, incorporating scenario planning, resource allocation, and benefits realization
- Engage with customer stakeholders to understand domain‑specific challenges and translate them into actionable project plans
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, ICH Q10) and internal quality systems
- Lead stage‑gate reviews and steering committee updates
- Maintain audit readiness and documentation integrity
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and planning sessions to gather insights and co‑create strategies with customer teams
- Monitor project health using KPIs and dashboards, and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support change management, communication, and training activities across the portfolio
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of experience in project and portfolio management, preferably in consulting or customer‑facing roles
- Proven ability to manage large‑scale portfolios and deliver strategic outcomes
- Strong understanding of strategic planning, roadmap development, and enterprise architecture principles
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to “speak the customer’s language.”
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, SAFe, Waterfall)
- Familiarity with platforms such as Service Now, Jira, and enterprise planning tools
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries
- Ability to conduct current state assessments and define future state transformation roadmaps
- Knowledge of demand management, capacity planning
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $125,000 - $170,000
