User Experience Product Designer – Clearwater Analytics (CWAN)
The User Experience Product Designer creates excellent end-user interactions and defines the overall user experience for users navigating our data-dense, highly transactional desktop, mobile and web-based applications. The designer seeks to improve the user experience by suggesting interactions that are simple, useful, scalable, accessible, and visually compelling. They collaborate with teams and individuals across a wide variety of departments as needed:
Product, Development, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and external clients.
- Takes initiative in gathering requirements and translating them into user interface screen designs.
- Creates annotated wireframe screen schematics to define logic and flow of user interfaces, and annotates the wireframes within user interface specification documentation.
- Collaborates on defining usability testing plans and execution of usability testing.
- Works effectively with various stakeholders, including target users, to bring together a product design.
- Interviews target users to define personas and generate artifacts that document user journeys.
- Facilitates workshops with product managers, content team members, target users and technology teams to define problems and optimal solutions with user interface implementations.
- Manages and prioritizes multiple project timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Participates in the user interface design team’s effort to maintain and evolve design systems and guidelines.
- Performs any other reasonable activity required by management.
- Ability to create wireframe screen schematics using tools such as Balsamiq and other industry-standard design tools like Figma.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

- Bachelor's or master’s degree in design and technology, user experience design, human factors engineering, psychology/cognitive science, or related field.
- Experience with the financial services sector highly desirable.
