Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager for a hybrid role based in NYC. The position focuses on managing technology onboarding and transformation projects, ensuring deliverables are on time, within scope, and on budget, while providing a unified view of all project deliverables.

Project Manager (Infrastructure, Performance & Dev Ops Governance)

Key responsibilities include coordinating between stakeholders and technical teams, defining business, functional, and technical requirements, and managing dependencies between cross-functional teams to deliver the right features.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in a PMO environment, proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.,), and skills with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. A PMP or Agile certification is preferred, along with the ability to contribute to some BA functionality as needed, and also lead cross-functional teams through execution and delivery.

The candidate needs to be able to create a timeline, hold cross functional team meetings, support stakeholders, create professional runbooks, i.e. playbooks. The candidate will work very closely with a part time PM from one of our councils. It’s critical the candidate supports our council PM.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Technical Project or Program Management

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders

Experience establishing or operating change control, Dev Ops governance, or operational controls

Strong understanding of SDLC, Dev Ops practices, performance testing, and system integrations

Proven ability to manage vendors and third-party service providers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud decommissioning or data center exit initiatives

Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies

Experience supporting API-based integrations in enterprise environments

PMO or portfolio management experience in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization

PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or Agile certification a plus
