OverviewOur client is a well-established financial services organization operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. They are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their New York-based IT team.
This role is focused on delivering high-touch, responsive technology support to both general users and senior leadership, while helping ensure systems, tools, and end-user technology operate reliably and securely. This opportunity is ideal for a technically capable, service-driven professional who communicates well, remains calm under pressure, and enjoys supporting executives and business-critical users in a team oriented setting.
Core Responsibilities- Provide high-quality deskside and remote IT support to onsite and remote users via in-person support, phone, chat, and email
- Deliver responsive, white-glove support to VIPs and senior executives, including time-sensitive troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a broad range of IT issues across laptops, peripherals, printers, mobile devices, and connectivity
- Support conference rooms, AV systems, and collaboration tools, including troubleshooting audio, video, display, and meeting-room technology
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade end-user hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Independently resolve complex technical issues while partnering with other IT teams to identify root causes and long-term fixes
- Accurately document incidents, service requests, and resolutions within the ITSM / ticketing platform
- Escalate critical or recurring issues appropriately, ensuring clear communication and follow-through
- Manage day-to-day operational tasks including IT inventory, asset tracking, hardware deployments, shipping, and receiving
- Follow established IT processes, documentation standards, and security best practices
- Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed to support business operations
- Hands on experience in an end-user support roles
- Proven experience supporting VIPs, executives, or business-critical users with strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Professional, service-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Hands-on experience supporting laptops, printers, mobile devices, and conferencing technology
- Proficiency with Windows 11
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaboration tools including Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Experience using ticketing and incident management systems
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and remote support tools
