OverviewWe are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity & Systems Administrator to support and secure our IT environment in a small-company setting. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on position, takes ownership of issues, and can manage systems, security, and user support with minimal escalation. You will serve as a central technical resource across departments, balancing day-to-day IT operations with cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities Systems Administration- Administer and maintain Windows-based environments, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure and Azure Portal
- Configure and support Microsoft 365 (Office 365), including licensing, email, and collaboration tools
- Handle onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring proper access control and security
- Maintain and improve endpoint management using Intune
- Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines and cloud resources as business needs require
- Manage and support a ticketing system, prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices, including least-privilege access and MFA
- Manage certificates, authentication, and secure access to systems and applications
- Monitor systems for security issues and respond to incidents as needed
- Perform vulnerability remediation and security troubleshooting
- Maintain documentation for security procedures and incident response

- Provide advanced support for hardware, software, and network issues
- Act as the first escalation point for complex technical problems
- Troubleshoot issues independently, escalating only when highly specialized expertise is required
- Support a wide range of software platforms and internal tools
- Use Power Shell to troubleshoot systems, manage access, and automate administrative tasks
- Work with systems and workflows built around Power Shell and scripting tools
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and internal knowledge bases
- Act as a liaison between departments, translating technical requirements into solutions
- Provide guidance and best practices to end users on security and system usage
- Experience in systems administration, IT support, or cybersecurity in a small or mid-sized environment
- Strong working knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft 365
- Hands‑on experience with Azure, Azure Portal, and Intune
- Proficiency with Power Shell for administration and troubleshooting
- Experience managing access controls, certificates, and user permissions
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience supporting cloud-based virtual machines and infrastructure
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks or best practices (e.g., NIST, CIS)
- Exposure to incident response and security monitoring
- Relevant certifications (or currently pursuing):
- Microsoft Security, Compliance, or Identity certifications
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
