Job SummaryThe Infra. Tech. Specialist - Ops role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and support within our hybrid work model. With a focus on Dev Ops, CI/CD, and Dev Sec Ops , the candidate will leverage expertise in Core Java, Python, and Hadoop to optimize infrastructure processes. This position requires a strategic approach to asset management operations, enhancing efficiency and driving innovation.
Responsibilities- Lead the implementation and maintenance of Dev Ops practices to streamline operations and improve system reliability.
- Oversee CI/CD pipeline development to ensure efficient software delivery and integration.
- Provide support for Dev Sec Ops initiatives, enhancing security measures across the infrastructure.
- Manage containerization technologies to optimize resource allocation and scalability.
- Utilize Core Java expertise to develop robust backend solutions that support operational needs.
- Apply Python skills to automate processes and improve system performance.
- Implement Hadoop solutions to manage and analyze large datasets, driving data‑driven decision making.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in all operational processes.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop documentation and training materials to support team members and stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to asset management operations, optimizing resource utilization and cost‑effectiveness.
- Write and maintain Linux shell scripts (minimum 5 years experience).
- Hadoop / Hive knowledge is desirable.
- Experience with container/Dev Ops, Git, CI/CD, and container technologies (5+ years).
- Java / Python experience (3+ years).
- Linux administration and shell scripting expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Dev Ops practices, CI/CD, containerization, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Experience with Core Java, Python, Hadoop, and related data processing frameworks.
- Ability to develop automation scripts and backend solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in asset management and operational optimization.

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 and $106,000 depending on experience.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
