Position Details
Title: Manager, Data Analytics
Department: Finance Department
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Schedule: Full-time, exempt
Compensation: $145,000–$150,000 base + bonus (4–7%)
About the RoleThis is a high-impact opportunity for a law firm pricing and analytics leader to own matter budgeting, rate strategy, and data analytics within a sophisticated finance organization.
The Manager, Pricing & Data Analytics will oversee pricing systems, support attorneys and business development teams on complex pricing requests, and lead the annual firmwide rate‑setting process. This role also drives data modernization—expanding the use of Elite 3E and transitioning reporting to Power BI to deliver scalable, insight‑driven analytics.
What You’ll Do- Manage matter budgeting and tracking tools; support attorneys in creating and maintaining matter budgets and alerts
- Partner with legal and business development teams on pricing requests and competitive market analysis
- Lead the firmwide annual rate‑setting process, including internal analysis, market benchmarking, and executive presentations
- Oversee rate, discount, and alternative fee arrangement reporting
- Lead data normalization and quality initiatives within Elite 3E
- Migrate financial reporting from Excel, PowerPoint, and SSRS to Power BI
- Design dashboards and reports that enable faster, more strategic decision‑making
- Respond to ad‑hoc data requests and support finance and legal stakeholders
- Law firm experience required
- Proficiency in SQL, Elite 3E, Excel, and Point
- Experience working with large, complex data sets
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Ability to deliver polished, executive‑ready analyses and presentations
- High attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information
- Power BI and SSRS experience
- VBA, XML, or data integration experience
- Financial modeling or P&L analytics background
- Strategic ownership of pricing and analytics
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and attorneys/partners
- Modern data environment with Power BI expansion
