Role Overview

We are seeking a senior, client‑facing Engagement Manager to partner with major banks and financial services product organizations on mission‑critical platforms, owning executive relationships, delivery alignment, and commercial conversations while bridging client teams and Intellibus engineering and driving account growth.

This role is a true client‑facing leadership position, responsible for:

  • Owning executive relationships
  • Handling commercial conversations
  • Pushing back when needed
  • Expanding the engagement footprint

You will act as the bridge between client product teams and Intellibus engineering and architecture teams, ensuring expectations, scope, and delivery stay aligned.

This is not a PMO or project tracking role.

This is an engagement ownership role with business, delivery, and relationship accountability.

What We Are Specifically Looking For

We are targeting leaders with backgrounds similar to:

  • Consulting managers serving capital markets clients
  • Client partners supporting trading, regulatory, or wealth platforms

Ideal experience includes working with:

  • Bank product teams
  • Trading or post‑trade platforms
  • Wealth management systems
  • Regulatory or reporting platforms
  • Candidates must be comfortable challenging clients respectfully when scope, priorities, or timelines are unrealistic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day‑to‑day executive relationships with client product and technology leaders
  • Serve as an escalation point for delivery, scope, and priority conflicts
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and negotiate trade‑offs when required
  • Represent Intellibus in executive and product governance forums
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and engineering execution
  • Partner with architects and delivery leads to shape feasible solutions
  • Review delivery plans, milestones, and risk areas
  • Proactively identify issues before they escape
  • Identify opportunities to expand scope and introduce new capabilities
  • Partner with leadership on revenue forecasting and pipeline development
  • Support contract discussions, renewals, and scope expansions
  • Maintain long‑term trusted‑advisor status with clients
  • Understand client product architecture and technical constraints
  • Translate between business objectives and engineering realities
  • Participate in solution discussions with architects and engineering leads
  • Ensure delivery plans align with product roadmaps
  • Act as internal advocate for the client while protecting Intellibus delivery teams
  • Drive accountability across client and internal stakeholders
  • Support onboarding and stabilization of new resources on the account

Required Experience

  • 15+ years in consulting, financial services technology, or product delivery roles
  • Strong Fin Tech / Banking / Capital Markets domain experience (mandatory)
  • Prior experience in client‑facing engagement or account leadership roles
  • Proven ability to work with:
  • Product owners
  • Engineering leaders
  • Program and delivery managers

Strong understanding of:

  • Trading or wealth platforms
  • Regulatory or financial data systems
  • Comfortable owning both delivery outcomes and client relationships

Must‑Have Skills

  • Executive‑level communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to push back professionally and protect delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of software engineering and system architecture
  • Commercial awareness and revenue ownership mindset
  • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Calm under pressure in politically complex environments

Interview Process

  • 15‑minute introductory video call with a member of our team
  • Proctored GQ assessment and slideware exercise to evaluate problem‑solving and presentation skills
  • Leadership and Executive interviews (panel or individual sessions, as needed)
  • Offer decision and onboarding
