Salary: $135,000 – $140,000 USD annually.
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeler with ER Studio expertise to join a Data Engineering team focused on designing, developing, and delivering data products leveraging Databricks on AWS. This role involves creating robust data models at both enterprise and data product levels, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Apply ER Studio and advanced data modeling techniques (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3NF, Dimensional) to support enterprise and product-level data architecture.
- Collaborate with Business Architects, Solution Architects, and Data Stewards to capture business requirements and translate them into conceptual and logical data models.
- Maintain and enhance data modeling standards and guidelines.
- Validate physical data models to ensure consistency with logical designs.
- Develop Databricks notebooks using Spark SQL and PySpark for data engineering tasks.
- Support enterprise data catalog setup and enrichment (Unity Catalog).
- Contribute to building and testing data pipelines for data products.
- 4+ years of hands‑on data modeling experience with ER Studio.
- Strong expertise in Conceptual, Logical, Physical modeling, 3NF, and Dimensional modeling.
- Solid SQL skills for data analysis and transformation.
- Experience with Databricks and understanding of Medallion Architecture.
- Working knowledge of Unity Catalog.
- Familiarity with traditional DBMS (Oracle) and cloud DBMS (Redshift, Databricks).
- Background in data management and supporting data pipeline development.
- Experience in financial sector, especially market securities reference data and fixed income instruments (e.g., Treasuries).
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Knowledge of AWS services related to data engineering.
- Exposure to data governance and metadata management.
