An exciting and brand-new opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Architect to join an innovative and growing trading house as they expand their teams in New York and Chicago. Using High Performance Computing (HPC) solutions that span thousands of servers across multiple datacenters they are providing cutting edge services to their customers and are growing in every department to meet the customer demand for their products.

This role will see you taking up a senior level position within this company's network architecture team, contributing to all phases of projects aimed at enhancing the performance and capacity of the network, from designing and selecting new solutions through to the leading implementations, getting down to the technical detail of the computing architecture and troubleshooting when problems arise.

You'll be working on projects that have a direct impact on the company's live trading and research platforms.

You are likely to already have the following skills:

• Significant experience in the network architecture domain including (but not limited to) network devices from Cisco and Arista
• Detailed understanding of Layer 2 and 3 protocols and best practices, including working knowledge of IGMP, BGP, PIM, OSPF
• Experience selecting and working with providers to design and implement switch solutions for next-generation computing environments.
• Experience in designing computing and grid networks and capacity planning
• Experience of high performance computing (HPC) high throughput computing (HTC) environments
• Comfortable using Linux/UNIX command line tools and network stacks
• Experience with tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark or similar
• Experience with public cloud solutions such as Azure, GCP and/or AWS
• Familiarity with as many of the following as possible;
  Ansible, Salt, Python, Grafana, Git Hub, ELK, Prometheus
• Familiarity with the power consumption and cooling requirements ofdatacenter environments
