Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing
We’re hiring the first Forward Deployed Engineer for a fast-growing, highly technical infrastructure startup. This is not a typical solutions or pre-sales role – it’s a deeply technical, high‑ownership position at the intersection of engineering, product, and enterprise customers, where you’ll shape how the product is deployed, improved, and scaled.
What You’ll Do- Own onboarding, implementation, and pilot programs for large enterprise customers
- Be the most technical person on the go‑to‑market side
- Analyze complex system outputs to identify true root causes of incidents
- Partner closely with product and engineering to improve the platform based on real customer environments
- Work directly with senior stakeholders (CTOs, VPs of Infrastructure, engineering leaders)
This is a founding hire in a function that will become core to the business.
What We’re Looking For- Strong technical depth: cloud (AWS / multi‑cloud), Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability (Datadog, Grafana)
- Systems thinker: able to connect code, infra, and data to understand what actually broke
- Can code when needed (for tooling, integrations, analysis)
- Enterprise presence: confident with highly technical, senior stakeholders
Typically 4+ years’ experience (exceptional candidates considered). Junior generalist software roles (2–3 years), selling non‑technical products or selling to non‑technical teams, and environments where depth, rigor, and ownership weren’t required are not a fit.
Why This Role- Real influence on product direction
- High visibility with leadership
- Build the blueprint for how this technology is deployed at scale
- Technical credibility in the room—not a sales overlay
If you’re looking for a role where your technical depth + customer impact truly matter, let’s talk.
