Overview
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Frontend Architect to lead the architecture and front-end strategy for enterprise-grade websites and digital platforms. You’ll play a key role in defining technical direction, leading implementation efforts, and mentoring a talented team of developers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology leadership, hands-on coding, and strategic collaboration.
In this role, you will also work closely with strategy, design, and backend teams and use cutting-edge technologies like Next.js, Graph
QL, Type Script, and headless CMS platforms such as Contentful to shape the full-stack architecture of websites, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability. As a hands-on leader, you will mentor front-end developers, perform code reviews, and guide projects from kickoff through launch. You will report to the AVP, Frontend Development.
- Architectural & Technical Leadership:
Design and document front-end architecture for high-traffic, component-based websites using React and Next.js. - Architectural & Technical Leadership:
Define front-end rendering strategies that align with design requirements, client goals, and scalability. - Architectural & Technical Leadership:
Evaluate and implement modern front-end tools, libraries, and design systems. - Architectural & Technical Leadership:
Lead CMS integrations with headless and composable platforms such as Contentful, Sitecore, Sanity, or Optimizely. - Hands-on Implementation:
Lead front-end execution across multiple digital projects in parallel. - Hands-on Implementation:
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery schedules. - Hands-on Implementation:
Write and review scalable, well-documented Type Script code that meets standards and project timelines. - Hands-on Implementation:
Solve complex implementation challenges, both independently and collaboratively. - Team & Client
Collaboration:
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bring Figma prototypes to life with precision and responsiveness. - Team & Client
Collaboration:
Partner with backend developers and business analysts to ensure APIs are built to support requirements and optimal front-end performance.
- 5-7 years of in-depth knowledge and demonstrated use of React, Next.js, Type Script, HTML5 and CSS3 to develop performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend solutions at scale.
- Proven experience with headless architecture and the Server-Client Rendering Spectrum.
- Proven experience with API consumption (REST/Graph
QL). - Proven experience in modular web development, using Atomic Design and Storybook.
- Proven experience with CSS tooling such as CSS Modules, PostCSS, Sass, or Less.
- Proven experience working across headless/composable CMS platforms like Contentful, Sitecore, Sanity and Optimizely.
- Proven experience with modern frontend hosting solutions like Vercel and Netlify.
- Experience with Webpack or similar build tools and module bundlers.
The annual salary range for this position is $113,000 - $182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
