Sr. Oracle Applications DBA

On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for an Sr. Oracle Applications DBA for a contract opportunity in New York, NY.

• Develop, design, construct, implement, and maintain database applications supporting regulatory initiatives (Dodd Frank, Basel III), financial professionals and risk management functions.
• Collaborate across stakeholders (product managers, project managers, business analysts, and testers) to elicit and analyze requirements.
• Support testing and integration.
• Support maintenance needs.
• Design and build database solutions to satisfy application (business and technical) requirements.
• Perform data analysis where requirements may need to be derived from available documentation, interviews with users, and file specifications/samples.
• Develop physical database design.
• Perform database administration at the application level.
• Provide database performance tuning and application performance tuning.
• Provide SQL development, tuning, and troubleshooting.

• Need Oracle DBA with application support experience which is necessary.
• Preferred: 7+ years as a hands-on Oracle technologist with a mix of database design, application development and database development including:
• Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g or 12c administration and Oracle Apex administration; experience with TOAD, PL/SQL, TSQL, Shell Scripting/Perl/Awk, Apache, UNIX/Linux, Replication and Production Maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Oracle and/or SQL Server database certifications.
