You will- Be the founding member of the Data & Reporting team, building the data infrastructure and analytics capabilities that power Basic Capital's business intelligence, compliance, and customer communications
- Design and build data pipelines that transform raw operational data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Own the automation of critical compliance reporting, notices, and regulatory submissions
- Develop and maintain customer-facing reporting systems including monthly account statements, performance analytics, and portfolio insights
- Build and maintain our data warehouse infrastructure, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization
- Participate in architecture discussions, planning, and code reviews across the stack
- Strong experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT workflows
- Proficiency with SQL and experience designing data models for analytics and reporting
- Experience with modern data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift) and data transformation tools (e.g., dbt)
- Experience with data visualization tools and building dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, especially for compliance‑critical use cases
- Proficiency in any of the following:
Kotlin, Rust, Java, Go, C/C++, Python, Ruby, or Type Script - Experience with modern build systems and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience in fintech or early‑stage technology companies
- Understanding of financial data, ledgers, and accounting principles
- Experience working in Kotlin backends
- Experience with Temporal for asynchronous workflow orchestration
- Passionate about solving big social problems with pragmatic solutions
- Aptitude for complexity and curiosity for financial markets
- Enjoys learning new technologies and selecting the right tool for each job
- Adaptable and open to contributing across the tech stack as the team evolves
- Autonomous, high agency, accountable, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively in cross‑functional teams
- Excited to be a part of an in‑office team
