Location: New York
Location: 110 Williams Street, Downtown NYC (Hybrid – Onsite at least 3 days per week)
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (35 hours/week, includes 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Pay rate: $50 to $55 per hour
Position Overview
ACS OIT is seeking a seasoned SAS/Oracle Developer responsible for converting existing SAS code into optimized Oracle PL/SQL database structures (tables, views, procedures, packages, and functions). The developer will also design new database objects, optimize queries, and ensure high performance while maintaining functional equivalence of the original SAS code.
Scope of Work
- Redevelop existing SAS-based backend processes into Oracle PL/SQL codebase.
- Integrate multiple data sources, cleanse and transform data, and implement business rules for reporting.
- Ensure converted code meets or exceeds original SAS code functionality and performance.
- Conduct unit testing, QA testing, and support UAT with business users.
- Optimize database queries for efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and effective database solutions.
Qualifications
Experience & Expertise
- 7+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
- 4+ years of SAS development experience.
- Proven experience converting SAS code to Oracle PL/SQL.
- expertise in performance tuning and database optimization.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and database management.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience collaborating with business users for testing and remediation.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SAS programming and Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Expertise in SQL and relational database concepts.
- Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and schema creation.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle tools (e.g., TOAD, SQL Developer) and SAS editors.
Compensation: $55.00 per hour
