Support Technician (Full Time, Contract; Onsite in New York City)

Optomi, in partnership with a global enterprise organization, is seeking a Support Technician to support a large-scale Windows 11 migration initiative in New York City. This hands‑on, on‑site role will focus on imaging and preparing end‑user devices for Windows 11 deployment as part of a transition from SCCM to Microsoft Intune/Azure. The Support Technician will follow documented deployment procedures, work closely with the local Service Delivery team, and provide basic end‑user support while devices are being re‑imaged.

Additional responsibilities include managing and documenting tickets in Service Now, updating hardware and asset tracking records, and delivering a professional, customer‑focused end‑user experience. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail‑oriented, organized individual eager to build foundational IT experience in a structured, project‑driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Image and prepare laptops and desktops for Windows 11 deployment following documented procedures
  • Support the migration of devices from SCCM to Microsoft Intune/Azure
  • Provide basic end‑user support while devices are being re‑imaged or deployed
  • Create, update, and manage support tickets and documentation in Service Now
  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset tracking records
  • Escalate technical issues to the Service Delivery team while ensuring a positive end‑user experience
