IT Consultant, IT Project Manager

Soni's client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with deep expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online to lead a time-bound, organization-wide migration to a SharePoint-based architecture. This consultant will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, user adoption, and change management across a globally distributed organization.
- Complete the organization-wide cloud and email migration to a SharePoint architecture within 90 days

March 31, 2026 - Achieve 100% user adoption and compliance within 30 days post-migration (by April 30, 2026)
- Develop a comprehensive user manual to support onboarding and ongoing staff training
- Collaborate with Operations, Leadership, and an external IT partner to refine and execute the MS365 transition plan
- Define project phases, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies
- Clearly communicate expectations, timing, and training plans to staff
- Ensure on-time delivery of all final project outcomes
- Lead regular project meetings and stakeholder check-ins
- Coordinate discovery sessions, interviews, and implementation activities
- Act as the primary liaison between the IT partner, leadership, department heads, country offices, and staff
- Provide regular progress updates, risk assessments, and issue reporting to the supervisor
- Design and implement a change management and communications strategy to drive full user adoption across all locations and departments
- Develop onboarding materials, training resources, and user support documentation
- Deliver or coordinate training on the new SharePoint architecture and knowledge management practices
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by Leadership or the Supervisor
All deliverables produced under this engagement—including system designs, architectures, governance frameworks, training materials, and SharePoint configurations—will be the sole and exclusive property of the organization. The Consultant retains no rights to reuse or resell customized materials developed for this engagement.
ConfidentialityThe Consultant will have access to confidential and proprietary information related to the organization’s operations, finances, IT systems, and staff data. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) must be signed prior to commencement, and confidentiality must be maintained during and after the engagement.
Qualifications- Proven experience in knowledge management or information architecture within mid-size to large, complex, and geographically distributed organizations
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online architecture, governance, and migration best practices
- Experience developing IT data and file management policies, including permissions, roles, governance structures, and naming conventions
- Strong project management and change management skills, ideally within a global nonprofit or mission-driven environment
