Based in New York or Washington D.C., the Mobile Device Engineer will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and managing mobile devices using Microsoft Intune. This role ensures the secure and efficient deployment, integration, and maintenance of mobile technology across our organization, guaranteeing stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all in‑house information systems that support core organizational functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to network management.
This role reports to the Director, IS Operations. The engineer closely collaborates with all IT teams and Information Security.
Responsibilities- Administering, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
- Onboarding and enrolling iOS, Android, and Windows devices into Intune, ensuring compliance with company security policies.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to mobile device connectivity, performance, and application deployment.
- Collaborating with IT security and support teams to implement conditional access, device compliance, and data protection policies.
- Providing end‑user support for mobile device setup, usage, and troubleshooting.
- Creating and maintaining documentation related to Intune configurations, device enrollment procedures, and support processes.
- Monitoring device health, usage, and compliance through Intune dashboards and reporting tools.
- Staying current with updates to Microsoft Intune and mobile device technologies to recommend improvements and best practices.
- Collaborating with cybersecurity teams to detect and remediate vulnerabilities and threats.
- Documenting architecture, processes, and changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Azure, or M365.
- Experience with enterprise networking and VPN solutions for mobile devices.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools for device management.
- Knowledge of other MDM/MAM solutions (e.g., Mobile Iron).
- Strong knowledge of iOS.
- Understanding of mobile security, compliance, and data protection best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience supporting mobile devices in an enterprise environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune and mobile device management platforms.

The annual compensation range for this position is $135k – $165k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
