Currently, we operate multiple elementary and middle schools in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan, and are opening three new elementary schools in Queens for the 2025-26 school year. We plan to grow and open 1-2 schools each year because children in every community deserve excellent, equitable education. Join our growing team today, and be a change agent for children.
Our Network office is located at 401 W. 218th St., New York, NY 10034. Our Network team follows a hybrid work schedule: we work in-person from our office on Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, if your team's scope of work permits.
Deliver powerful results
To achieve our vision, we are searching for a Manager of Data Architecture and Systems with a Bachelor's Degree, and at least 1-3 years of experience in coding with SQL, working in Microsoft Azure, and managing a data warehouse. Our ideal candidate is fueled by a passion for scalable systems, customer service, end-to-end systems management, and a high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Data Architecture and Design
- Implement, and maintain a scalable, high-performance data warehouse currently hosted on Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse
- Develop and maintain data models, ensuring alignment with Zeta's mission and organizational goals, and industry standards
- Build and manage efficient pipelines to integrate data from various systems, including Zeta's student information systems (SIS) Schoolrunner and School Mint, learning application platforms, and operational tools
- Define and enforce data governance policies to maintain data integrity, consistency, and compliance with regulations like FERPA
- Ensure Zeta's Azure-based data infrastructure supports the growth of schools and is optimized for performance and cost efficiency
- Regularly review and refine database performance to meet analytics and operational requirements
- Implement robust data security measures and protocols within the Azure environment to protect sensitive student and organizational data
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including FERPA and other data privacy standards
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide timely solutions to support Zeta's operational and educational priorities
- Serve as a technical lead for data migration, transformation, and reporting projects
- Wear multiple hats as a part of a lean start-up team, supporting the work of others on the team and taking on new projects and tasks as needed
