Our modern approach to consumer law automates the admin work and puts clients first, starting with personal injury. We combine expert operators with purpose‑built AI to handle intake, claim opening, medical records, police reports, lien management, demands, and everything in between. We’re backed by Sequoia, Redpoint, and the founders & CEOs of generational companies like Door Dash, Ironclad, and Digits. We’re rebuilding how the law serves everyday Americans from first principles, and we’re hiring exceptional operators to help us scale it nationwide.

Design at Finch is foundational. The systems we build for our legal operations team, injured clients, and law firm partners must deliver clarity, empathy, and speed. We’re looking for a Founding Designer who can bring taste, velocity, and structure to messy operational problems. In doing so, you’ll work at the forefront of AI‑enabled services, building a fairer future for America’s justice system.

You’ll be our first design hire, partnering directly with product, engineering, and leadership to build usable, beautiful tools and experiences from scratch. This is a high‑ownership, high‑autonomy role for a designer who wants to be in the room where early decisions get made.

• Internal case management tools that make our legal operations team superhuman
• Law firm portals that provide control and transparency to law firms and their teams
• Client‑facing experiences that make the legal process more human
• Our brand and marketing site, defining how Finch shows up publicly
• Our emerging AI surfaces, ensuring outputs are clear, useful, and aligned

You’ll also define the building blocks of our earliest design system at Finch, developing a shared language around quality and craft across design, product, and engineering.

• Have 4–6+ years of experience as a product designer shipping high‑ownership work
• Thrive in ambiguous 0→1 environments and love designing with speed and intent
• Balance taste with iteration—you know when to polish and when to move
• Are a systems thinker who can untangle complex flows and make them intuitive
• Can flex across product, brand, and visual design as needed
• Care deeply about making complicated systems feel simple and human

Compensation

$160,000 – $225,000 annual salary + generous equity
