Interim Classroom Technology Specialist Assistant

Job Summary/Basic Function:

TCIT Media Service's is seeking a Classroom Technology Specialist Assistant for daily operations.

The Classroom Technology Specialist Assistant will be responsible for the following:

• Assist Faculty with using classroom technology.
• Provide classroom‑related technical support.
• Set up video capturing and conferencing cameras, webcams, and microphones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve all classroom technical, video conferencing, and capturing issues.
• Assist Media Service Techs with the deployment of computers (both software/ audio visual hardware) for classroom, Department & Event space installations.
• Maintain and replace classroom‑related hardware components and devices.
• Set up PA systems, microphones, and digital audio recording devices.
• Create and prepare technical materials for both classroom and internal use.
• Train all work‑study Media Technicians on basic classroom set‑ups, video conferencing, and capturing procedures.

• Two years of college experience or the equivalent.
• One year of related technical experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Spreadsheets,
  -Word Processing, Database, E‑mail).
• Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated skills and abilities must include the ability to exercise professional judgment, work independently, show initiative, organize well, and contribute to the advancement of Media Services and TC.

• Experience with video conferencing such as ZOOM & other web conferencing platforms.
• Previous computing help‑desk/presentation support experience.
• Extensive knowledge of both Windows and Apple's OS.
• Experience with sound engineering and PA set‑ups.

$18 per/hr
