Principal / Manager – Data Quality

Our client, a mid-sized and forward-thinking consulting firm (named to Forbes’ Best Management Consulting Firms for 15 consecutive years), is expanding its 160-person Data Analytics & AI practice. They combine deep industry expertise with modern technology to drive meaningful, long-term transformation for their clients.

Our client is supporting a large enterprise organization and is seeking a Senior Data Quality Leader to partner closely with a newly hired Chief Data & AI Officer. This is a high-visibility role requiring exceptional stakeholder management, communication finesse, and the ability to lead complex data quality initiatives across a large, matrixed environment.

• Start: As early as November 2025, goes through all of 2026
• Duration: 6–8 months before FTE conversion or contract extension
• Type: Full-time contract (40 hrs/week)
• Location: Onsite 2–3 days/week in downtown Manhattan
• Rate: $120–160/hr+ (potentially more for direct alignment)
• Industry: Ideal candidate comes from the IT Consulting industry (highly regulated industries such as Utilities, Financial Services, Healthcare are acceptable)

• Project Leadership: Manage timelines, deliverables, and senior stakeholder communication.
• Data Quality Expertise: Deep understanding of the DQ lifecycle — profiling, cleansing, data lake quality, root-cause analysis, and source remediation.
• Tooling (Nice to Have): Experience with Purview or Dataplex preferred; open to Ataccama, Informatica, Talend, or similar; upskilling supported.

• Lead an enterprise-level data quality workstream with executive visibility.
• Own project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication.
• Manage the full data quality lifecycle: profiling, rules, cleansing, root cause, remediation.
• Guide or oversee DQ tooling implementations (Purview, Dataplex, Ataccama, Informatica, etc.).
• Collaborate with analysts, SMEs, and a broader delivery team.

• Strong hands-on data quality experience (beyond governance).
• Proven project leadership; ability to handle senior personalities.
• Experience in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with modern DQ tools (Purview, Dataplex, Ataccama, Informatica, etc.).

• Experience in regulated industries (utilities, healthcare, financial services).
• Prior consulting background.
• Experience with frameworks like Great Expectations or Soda.

• Long-term program with continuity through 2026+ and ability to convert FTE with a rapidly growing firm
