Lead DX Engineer - Documentation; SF​/NYC

Overview

Lead DX Engineer – Documentation (SF / NYC). This role is based in San Francisco or New York and reports to the Director of Developer Experience. The founding member of the docs team will own and improve our documentation, with a focus on driving adoption among the global developer community and building world-class docs, including eventually leading a team.

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, engineering, and/or developer education
• Experience building AI applications and working with LLMs
• Proven track record of creating content (docs/guides/cookbooks) about developer tools
• Excellent technical communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to various developer audiences
• Proficiency in writing code examples with Python and Type Script
• Quickly adapt to new domains, learning and articulating complex concepts into clear, comprehensive content
• Understanding of LLM APIs including features like structured outputs & function calling a plus

• Lead the comprehensive documentation strategy across our products
• Write comprehensive guides on how to do inference, fine tuning, and training on our platform
• Collaborate with the engineering team to document & showcase new features as they come out, with Python and Type Script examples using our SDKs
• Create use case specific cookbooks and guides that address common customer use cases that use our API

We offer competitive compensation, startup equity, health insurance and other competitive benefits. The US base salary range for this full-time position is: $160,000 - $240,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by location, level and role. Individual compensation will be determined by experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
