Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Telephony Services team, consisting of Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations staff. This role will manage a global team and oversee all aspects of telephony services, including SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), e911 (Enhanced 911), project management, vendor selection, budgeting, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: manage and mentor a global team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement, and support professional development.
- Telephony Services Management: oversee design, implementation, and management of all telephony services; own global telephony strategy; manage voice and cloud setups (SIP trunking, SBCs, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, PSTN, Azure), on‑prem and cloud connectivity, and migrations from ISDN/MPLS to SIP.
- E911 Services: ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Project Management: lead telephony‑related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence; collaborate cross‑functionally.
- Vendor Selection & Management: identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts and relationships to meet SLAs.
- Budgeting & Financial Management: develop and manage the telephony budget, control costs, and recommend savings.
- SLA Performance Monitoring: establish, monitor, and enforce SLAs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: drive initiatives to enhance service delivery using data, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business Administration, or related field;
Master’s preferred. - 8+ years of telephony services management, focusing on SIP and e911.
- Proven global team and complex project management experience.
- Strong budgeting, financial, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
- Competitive compensation: U.S. base salary range $138,200–$266,000 (varies by region); detailed ranges below.
- Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
- Hybrid work model: 40–60% in‑person expected for client‑serving roles.
- Flexible vacation and leave policy aligned with individual circumstances.
- U.S. all locations: $138,200–$266,000.
- New York City Metro Area, Washington State, California (excl. Sacramento): $165,800–$302,300.
- Individual salaries based on education, experience, skills, and geography.
