Quality Assurance Engineer Leads are responsible for ensuring that the products and services produced by their company meet a certain standard of quality. They commonly work with software, hardware, or other technology-related products. Quality assurance engineers typically begin by identifying potential problems in the design or development process. They may also help to identify ways to prevent these issues from occurring again in the future.

• Understand testing requirements, design test plans and strategies accordingly
• Create, maintain and execute test cases (manual or automated)
• Analyze and report defects, track defect status and communicate to the relevant stakeholders
• Perform regression, functional, integration, system, performance and stress testing
• Work with developers to understand features and technical implementation
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Participate in product/sprint planning and daily stand-ups
• Help improve engineering quality practices across the team
• Mentor junior team members on QA best practices and processes
• Stay up-to-date on latest testing trends and tools
• Handle multiple projects concurrently and adjust on-the-fly as priorities change
• Adhere to strict deadlines and deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years professional experience in software quality assurance
