Instructional Designer – Epic

Instructional Designer - Epic — Pay rate 75-80/hr W2

Designs, develops, and delivers Epic end-user training programs that align with clinical and revenue cycle workflows. Works with operational stakeholders, application teams, and subject matter experts to create role-specific learning experiences that support user adoption and system competency.

• Develop classroom, virtual, and e-learning content for new Epic applications, upgrades, and optimizations.
• Configure and maintain the Master Training Environment (MST) to support realistic workflows and training scenarios.
• Deliver Epic training sessions to end-users, incorporating adult learning principles and hands-on practice.
• Partner with application analysts to test new builds and incorporate changes into curriculum and training materials.
• Maintain job aids, quick reference guides, and training documentation in a shared repository.
• Provide go-live support, reinforcing workflows and assisting users in applying training in live environments.
• Gather feedback and evaluate training effectiveness; update materials based on results.
• Collaborate with Help Desk and application teams to resolve training-related access and environment issues.
• Ensure assigned staff complete required Epic training and competency validation prior to gaining system access.

• Experience in Epic training, instructional design, or adult education.
• Knowledge of clinical and/or revenue cycle workflows in Epic.
• Skilled in training delivery methods for diverse audiences.
• Experience configuring and managing Epic training environments.
• Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience.
