DESKTOP/LAN ENGINEER – ROCHESTER, NYDox Electronics Inc. is looking to add a Desktop LAN Engineer to our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Level I and Level II help‑desk support to employees that work from the office as well as from home or other remote locations. This is a support position in which you will work with a multitude of clients in all different industries. Every day is a different experience!

- Paid vacations and holidays Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Keep systems up-to-date through operating systems upgrades.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors.
- Provide help desk support for day to day issues.
- Provide support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed.
- Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software.
- Modify configurations, utilities, software, etc.
- Set up equipment for new users.
- Perform data backups.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned
- A+ Certifications
- Microsoft Certifications
- Office 365 use and deployment
- GCC High use and deployment
- Experience with Azure Gov.
- Working Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows Operating System versions
- Printer drivers and configuration
- Common third‑party Applications i.e. Adobe, print drivers
- Desktop WiFi troubleshooting
- Citrix Xen Desktop a plus
- Virtual Environments such as VMware and Hyper‑V
- Other Professional
Skills:- Articulate communicator, fluent in English with excellent listening skills
- Self‑motivated and ambitious
- Great written and oral skills
- A team player who isn't a clock watcher
- Must be detail oriented, precise, and accurate
- Excellent skills in maintaining relationships with clients and other external parties
- Physical Demands:
- Normal demands associated with an office environment.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods.
- Ability to communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face‑to‑face.
- Some travel may be required.
