Location: Village of Valley Stream

Responsibilities

Develop and apply different statistical methods to collect, analyze, translate and interpret data from Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Determine whether statistical methods are appropriate.

Create and implement data analytics algorithms and data validation scripts in Python to evaluate, analyze, and improve EDI data solutions and related data processes with stakeholders.

Analyze and manipulate high-volume, high-dimensional data sets to identify and highlight relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect data transactions in various business processes such as supply chain management and purchase order process; identify and analyze data trends to assist clients in better decision‑making.

Design and develop new and existing data process flows and system configurations. Work with the software team to translate the developed methods into new statistical features in software applications.

Analyze and interpret statistical data for external and internal use; prepare customized data reports in various data formats for use by clients. Write up SQL query to generate customized data reports for business partners.

Analyze and coordinate EDI data test and production deployment. Define and build data format; implement data mapping and translate EDI data into different data formats for external and internal use.

Perform massive vendor‑retailer related data analysis and resource planning. Evaluate, implement, and improve data driving solutions for real simulation‑based decision making.

Develop, deploy, and maintain Excel macros/Add‑ins, MS Access, and SQL databases; write up SQL data query for internal use.

Create and maintain data and process diagrams, business data requirements, and functional and technical review documents. Prepare presentations of statistical and nonstatistical results in conferences with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related.

Courses taken in Statistical Computing, and Regression Theory.
