Network Architect – Proposal

We are seeking a Network Architect to work on the TSMO technology platform for I‑Link Solutions. The role is based at 50 Wolf Road, Albany, NY, with occasional travel.

• Develop a statewide data‑exchange platform to broker TSMO data and support real‑time situational awareness.
• Establish a three‑year refresh plan for each region, including a documented hardware catalog of OT and IT items (firewalls, routers, etc.).
• Develop Annual Technology Plans (ATP) for OT and IT technology and assist regions in implementing each plan.
• Create a transition plan for traffic signal equipment with an approved product list, staffing model, and physical space changes.
• Maintain a list of devices and software suitable for TSMO network use and support the development of standardized operating procedures.
• Document the impact of Intelligent Transportation System projects on enterprise and network architectures.
• Develop a TSMO Technology Team Integration Plan and support 100% connectivity to Traffic Signals (TSMO Connect) and ITS field devices.
• Update, create, and maintain detailed diagrams of the current and future TSMO network (IT/OT converged).
• Standardize and manage TSMO‑related communications and IT networks.
• Support the creation of a complete TSMO Technology Asset Management Plan and improve lifecycle management.
• Recommend foundational elements for adopting interoperable V2X connectivity corridors and applications.

• Experience in network architecture, TSMO, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of OT/IT integration and asset management.
• Ability to develop and maintain hardware catalogs, ATPs, and transition plans.
• Excellent documentation and diagramming skills.
• Knowledge of V2X, intelligent transportation systems, and related technologies.
